Mr lwegbu qualified in Russia and trained as an Orthopaedic Surgeon at Stanmore, Chase Farm and Liverpool. He was a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon at the Ahmadu Bello University Teaching Hospital, Nigeria before returning to the United Kingdom in 1990 and taking up a substantive Consultant appointment in Lancashire in 1996.
